An introvert. Enneagram 4. Lucky husband and girl-dad. Spanish speaker. Hopelessly addicted to creating, traveling and hiking. I favor the scent of pine. I love coffee and cold, gray days. I also love bourbon and cold, gray days.
I was fortunate enough to be a recording artist for a season – I toured the country and even had a few songs chart on Billboard. 10 years ago I began filming weddings and fell in love with crafting meaningful art for others. If you ask me about cinema, cameras or vintage lenses, I’ll likely ramble for hours. I really like filming.
Whether through music or film, I’ve always loved creating. In addition, there’s something about weddings that I really, really love. I think it’s because you don’t need actors - this is the real deal, and I get to capture it as it happens. The laughs, tears, the joy and elation of two people committing themselves to each other - I really feel privileged to be able to do what I do.
When I was 20 I lived in Argentina. I fell in love with the culture and learned the language. I filmed many of my experiences there and learned that how you preserve something affects how you’ll remember it later on.
Nowadays I almost always take a camera with me when I travel, and after compiling years of home videos of my family (filmed on every kind of camera imaginable), I decided to put together a “visual poem” of sorts and call it “Home Movie.” You can check it out below!
